TBI Information

Traumatic Brain Injury

In cases of head injury, the sensory nerves, including the auditory nerve at the base of the skull, are often damaged. Damage to the sensory systems results in damage to the supporting functional processes and interferes with emotional interpretation of signals received both externally and internally. This often causes an inability to maintain proper emotional balance…which in turn is often expressed as rage, anger, fear, or personality shifts. This injury-based interference is directly addressed in our programs.

The program includes:

  • Neuroprocessing training and remediation
  • Auditory processing training and techniques
  • Visual processing training and techniques
  • Memory and cognition rehabilitation
  • Mental processing and cognitive training and rehabilitation
  • And more

Typically, clients undergo cognitive skills repair and remediation,  neuro-processing repair and mentoring/counseling, all concurrently. Each of the modules builds and supports the other models, leading to quicker and more lasting results.

Anger and Mood Management (Self-Regulation)

The self-regulation program introduces core skill development and management of the underlying triggers of anger and rage. Anger triggers are identified and objective assessments indicate anger bio-markers. These assessments target brain areas that need to be rebalanced. Clients are able to overcome these challenges in a healthy, productive manner in order to overcome:

  • anger
  • rage
  • self-control
  • self-regulation

Depression and Anxiety

Our program can help identify specific areas of the brain that need brain strengthening or balancing and can help determine if the depressions are organic or episodic in nature. For some, depression is a life altering experience. The symptoms are so severe that to just get out of bed and face the world seems overwhelming.

In order to overcome these life altering effects our programs are suggested for anymore who is concerned about:
